About

“Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.” – International Coach Federation,

  • You choose the focus of conversation, your coach listens and contributes observations and questions.
  • You get clarity and move into action.
  • You focus, have “aha!” moments, gain awareness of choices, and accelerate your growth.
  • You get crystal clear on where you are now and what you’re willing to do to get where you want to be in the future.
  • Results are a matter of your intentions, choices and actions, supported by your coach’s efforts and application of the coaching process.

The profession of coaching is exploding, and there are a wide variety of perspectives about what coaching is. Here are a few things coaching is NOT.

  • Coaching is not consulting. Rather than telling you what to do, a great coach will engage you with questions that will uncover what you know is best.
  • Coaching is not therapy. A good coach will refer you to a therapist if your need for deep inner psychological work is apparent.
  • Coaching is not manipulative. If you encounter someone who identifies themselves as a coach and they have an agenda for your life, run!
