Compassionate Senior Care Placement & Eldercare Consulting in Western Washington
Finding the right care for an aging parent, spouse, or loved one can feel overwhelming. At Apex Eldercare Consulting, we help families across Western Washington understand their senior care options, narrow the choices, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Our local, family-run approach to senior care placement and eldercare consultingis personal, compassionate, and focused on finding options that fit each family’s medical, financial, geographic, and emotional needs.
Apex Eldercare Consulting assists families exploring assisted living, memory care, adult family homes, independent living communities, in-home care, skilled nursing, hospice, and respite care. Instead of handing families an overwhelming directory of senior living providers, we take time to understand what is happening, what level of support may be needed, what matters most to the senior, and what the family can realistically afford. From there, we help identify focused options and provide hands-on guidance throughout the decision-making process.
Our services are completely free to families. Apex is compensated by participating senior housing and care providers when a placement is successfully made, and no portion of that fee is passed on to the family. We work with a wide network of providers and focus on matching families with care options appropriate for their individual circumstances. Families can also ask us how compensation works with a particular provider at any point in the process.
For families searching for assisted living in Western Washington, we can help evaluate important differences between communities, including care levels, apartment styles, amenities, transportation, medication assistance, mobility support, and long-term financial considerations. For a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or significant cognitive decline, we help families explore memory care communities with secure environments, specially trained staff, structured programming, and appropriate levels of supervision.
Washington families also have a care option that can be easy to overlook: the Adult Family Home. These state-licensed residential homes generally serve a small number of residents in a more intimate, home-like environment. Adult Family Homes may provide personalized attention, assistance with daily activities, meals, medication support, and higher levels of care depending on the home. Apex helps families understand which homes may fit their loved one’s care needs, preferred location, personality, and budget.
For active older adults who no longer want the responsibilities of maintaining a house, we can also help explore independent senior living. Amenities and staffing differ significantly from one community to another, so we help families understand what is actually included—from apartment or cottage options to meals, housekeeping, transportation, activities, and after-hours staffing. When staying at home is the priority, we can help families navigate in-home senior care, including companionship, personal care, help with daily activities, and connections to agencies offering additional support.
Apex Eldercare Consulting was founded in 2021, but our experience in senior care reaches further back. Owner and Eldercare Consultant Tami Rego, a Certified Senior Advisor®, has been helping seniors navigate quality care since 2010. Her own family’s experience finding care for her grandmother shaped her commitment to educating families so they can make better-informed decisions and avoid unnecessary surprises. Eldercare Consultant Adel Drummond, also a Certified Senior Advisor®, brings personal caregiving experience from helping her own father at home and through his transition to assisted living.
Families work directly with our advisors—not a national call center. We can help untangle questions about care levels, costs, availability, geography, Medicare, Medicaid, long-term financial fit, touring communities, and the many details that can make senior care decisions difficult. Our support does not necessarily end once a provider or community has been selected; we follow up to help ensure the chosen care arrangement is coming together as expected.
Based in Puyallup, Washington, Apex Eldercare Consulting serves families throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston, Kitsap, Clark, Cowlitz, Lewis, Skagit, and Whatcom counties. Whether your family is planning ahead or facing an urgent transition, you do not have to navigate senior care alone. Our goal is simple: provide clear information, compassionate support, and personalized senior care guidance so your family can make an informed decision and feel more at peace with the path forward.
