When most people hear about pet CPR, their first thought is usually about dogs. While dogs are often the first animals we think of in emergencies, pet CPR is important for so many of the animals we love. Cats, rabbits, ferrets, and even some birds and small pets can face life-threatening emergencies where knowing how to help can mean the difference between life and loss. As a pet care educator, my mission is to help pawrents feel empowered and prepared, no matter what kind of animal shares their life.
Learning pet CPR is not about turning pawrents into veterinarians. It is about giving you the knowledge and confidence to take quick action while professional help is on the way. Emergencies can happen anytime and anywhere. Accidents, sudden illnesses, and unexpected events can affect pets of every kind. Knowing how to check vital signs, perform chest compressions, and safely handle emergency situations gives you the tools you need to protect and care for your beloved companions.
Through my Pet CPR and First Aid classes, I teach pawrents real-world skills that can be adapted for different types of pets. Every animal deserves a fighting chance, and every pawrent deserves the peace of mind that comes with being prepared. If you are ready to take a big step toward helping your pet thrive and stay safe, I invite you to join me. Together, we can build the skills and confidence you need to protect the pets who bring so much joy and love into our lives.
