Nouveau Interior Design
I am a wife of 14 years and a mom to an 8 year old daughter (where has the time gone?!). I am a Registered Nurse and I homeschool. In between this I have been building on my passion for interior design. As I have been building on this passion, I have realized I want to help other busy women.
You have had a busy day. Whether you’re a stay at home mom or a working mom, you ARE busy! If you are anything like me, you want the best for your children so your focus is on them instead of yourself. I am a working mom and I homeschool. There is not much time left for me. That is, until everyone has gone to sleep. Right? Isn’t this when you can decompress and take a breath and perhaps enjoy a glass (or two) of wine? Maybe you will read a book or binge on Netflix or dare I say get caught up on laundry. Do you look around your home and find yourself dreaming of all the projects you would like to get done as you see on your favorite HGTV shows (Property Brothers?) I know I do. To be honest, I just would like to have Drew and Jonathan come over and help! Or, I wish I can twinkle my nose and have everything done!
I love art and design and have since I was a child. It came to fruition when my husband and I bought our first house together. We saw it being built from the ground up and we picked out every design fixture from chandeliers to the doorknobs. That was a blast! I think, though, I had more fun with it then my husband! When it came to painting walls, he thought the white walls were just fine! Um, no. Can you relate? Another memorable time I had with interior design was when we found out we were expecting our daughter! At 5 months pregnant, I was designing, searching and shopping for her nursery. I was going up and down the ladder painting and watching my design come alive! Nothing was stopping me!
Since then, whether it was her nursery, her toddler room or her present room, my love for design has grown. I realized I was good at putting colors and designs together. My friends have complimented me many times stating that my house was warm and always put them to sleep! When they are in my home, they see my love for my family, color (my walls are not white) and the Impressionists. I have also realized that the home is an extension of me. The home is an extension of every woman. So, as you are decompressing, enjoying your glass of wine and dreaming of these projects being done, let me show you how I can help. Time, lack of resources or even finances does not have to hinder your vision. Click here to see how your vision can come to life!
